Newark Renaissance House, Inc is a tax exempt, fully licensed, not-for-profit agency funded by the NJ Department of Human Services, Division of Addiction Services. NRH operates residential, outpatient and infant mental health programs that address the needs of an alcohol and substance abusing population as they work to regain sobriety and healthy lifestyles for themselves and their families.
We are a multifaceted organization that provides comprehensive services to those most often overlooked in our communities: pregnant women, women with children, and adolescents.
A primary goal in treating substance abuse successfully is to foster personal growth and to instill ethical and moral standards through positive reinforcement.
Since we opened our doors in 1975, many thousands of families have benefited from the help we offer.
Today our specialized therapeutic community focuses on the most vulnerable in our society – pregnant women, women with children and teenagers. Our specialized services help to reduce infant mortality, child abuse and neglect, foster care placements, teenage crime and generational substance abuse.
Newark Renaissance House looks to the future in continuing to provide cost effective state-of-the-art treatment services.
Your gift will enable us to maintain the highest levels of care for those we serve and permit many more to receive care and treatment for their addictions.
